Reserved Fields

The Club’s Reserved Fields have proven to be a popular alternative for some of our Members. The Club continues to offer Reserved Fields subject to the the following guidelines:

1. All Reserved Fields require advance reservations. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate “walk-in” reservations, as the fields are specially pre-planted for your reserved hunt.

Please know that during wet winter conditions, reserved fields are sometimes unavailable due to standing water in the fields.

2. Reserved Fields are reserved for your party only. There is a limit of no more than 4 hunters per party. We will plant between three and ten pheasants for you in your reserved on the day of your reserved hunt, based on your request. Unlike our free-roam fields, all pre-planted pheasants in the reserved fields for your hunt will be pre-punched on your Bird Card.

3. Reserved Field hours are from 8:00am to 11:00am. However, you are welcome to begin hunting your Reserved Field anytime after 8:00am. However, please note that after 11:00am the entire Club, including the Reserved Fields, are open to everyone for free-roam hunting.

4. Reserved Fields are not intended to be used for general dog training purposes, although they do provide a good option for introducing pheasant hunting to younger dogs. During the pheasant season and after our last cutting of alfalfa, we designate a particular “ranch” alfalfa field that can be used for dog training. Please check with the Club Office for the location of the dog training field. See our Dog Training page for more information on this topic.

If you do not harvest all of the pre-punched birds that you requested to be planted specifically in your reserved field 11:00am, you are welcome to free roam hunt all of the Club that day in order to get the number of birds pre-punched on your card. Remember the fields close at 4:00pm.

Reserved Fields are also popular for groups with first time hunters and children. Please be sure to make your advance reservation, if you would like to try a reserved field.
